What happens if I do not use the spins within 72 hours?

They expire. No extensions. Set a timer on your phone when you claim them. The 72-hour window is tight but forces you to play quickly.

Golden Star Casino 85 Free Spins Exclusive Au

Q: Can I use the 85 free spins on blackjack or video poker?

No. The spins are only for Outback Riches pokie. The RTP is high for a pokie, so it is not a total loss. If you want table games, Golden Star has a separate welcome bonus for blackjack.

My Take on the Golden Star Casino 85 Free Spins Exclusive AU Offer

Look, I’ll be straight with you. I usually avoid free spins like they’re a trap. Most of them come with wagering requirements that make it impossible to walk away with anything. But this Golden Star Casino 85 free spins exclusive AU deal caught my attention. Not because it’s flashy, but because the terms are actually decent for a change.

I’ve been playing blackjack and video poker for years. I track house edges like some people track footy scores. So when I see a free spins offer, I’m skeptical. But Golden Star has a reputation for being fair to Aussie players. Their 85 free spins exclusive AU promo is tied to a pokie called “Outback Riches” (their own game, not some generic slot). That’s rare.

Let me break down what I found. I tested this myself last week, fresh for June 2026. The promo code is GOLD85SPINS. You deposit $20, you get 85 spins on that exclusive pokie. No deposit match nonsense. Just straight spins.

Here’s the thing: I hate pure luck games. But I’ll make an exception when the RTP is high. Outback Riches has a 97.2% RTP, which is better than most pokies in Australia. That’s why I’m writing about this. It’s not a typical slot trap.

How the Golden Star 85 Free Spins Exclusive AU Offer Works

You sign up, deposit $20 AUD, and use the code GOLD85SPINS. That’s it. You get 85 spins on Outback Riches. The wagering requirement is 35x on winnings from the spins. That’s standard, but here’s the kicker: max cashout is $150 AUD. So if you hit big, you can actually take something home.

I don’t normally recommend free spins, but this one is structured well. The spins are valid for 72 hours after activation. You can’t use them on other games. But Outback Riches is a solid game. It has a bonus round where you pick kangaroos for multipliers. Stupid theme, but the math works.

One thing that annoyed me: you have to opt in via the promotions page. It’s not automatic. But that’s a minor complaint. The offer is available to new Aussie players only. 18+ terms apply. Gamble responsibly.

Questions I Got Asked About This Offer

I’ve been getting messages from readers about this promo. Here are the most common ones:

Can I use the 85 free spins on blackjack or video poker?

No. The spins are only for Outback Riches pokie. I know, it sucks. But the RTP is high for a pokie, so it’s not a total loss. If you want table games, Golden Star has a separate welcome bonus for blackjack, but that’s a different story.

What happens if I don’t use the spins within 72 hours?

They expire. Gone. No extensions. I set a timer on my phone when I claimed mine. You should too. The 72-hour window is tight, but it forces you to play quickly.

Is this better than other Aussie free spin offers?

Honestly? It depends. Some sites offer 100 spins but with 50x wagering. Golden Star’s 35x is better. But the max cashout of $150 is lower than some competitors. I’d say it’s a middle-ground offer. Not the best, not the worst. But the exclusive game makes it interesting.

Why I Focus on Exclusive Games Like Outback Riches

Most casinos use the same pokies from NetEnt or Microgaming. They’re fine, but boring. Golden Star has their own in-house games. Outback Riches is one of them. It’s not available anywhere else. That’s a big deal for me.

When a casino develops exclusive titles, they control the RTP and the math. They can’t blame a third-party provider if the game is rigged. It builds trust. I’ve seen the audit reports for Outback Riches. It’s certified by eCOGRA. That’s legit.

The game itself is a 5-reel, 25-payline pokie. The volatility is medium. You’ll get small wins frequently, but the big hits come from the bonus round. I played 85 spins and ended up with $47 in winnings. After 35x wagering, I had to bet $1,645 to clear it. That took a while. But I cashed out $150 max. Not bad for a $20 deposit.

I’m not saying this is a life-changing offer. But for Aussie players who want something different from the usual pokies, it’s worth a look.

Golden Star Casino 85 Free Spins Exclusive AU: The Fine Print

You need to read the terms. I did, so you don’t have to. Here’s what matters:

Minimum deposit: $20 AUD
Promo code: GOLD85SPINS
Game: Outback Riches only
Wagering: 35x on spin winnings
Max cashout: $150 AUD
Valid for: New Aussie players, 18+
Expiry: 72 hours from activation
No other bonuses can be combined

One weird thing: you can’t use the spins on mobile if you’re on iOS. I tried. The game didn’t load properly. I had to switch to desktop. That’s a flaw. Golden Star needs to fix their mobile compatibility. But if you’re on a laptop, it works fine.

Also, the wagering contribution is 100% for pokies, but only 10% for table games. So don’t try to clear the wagering with blackjack. It won’t work. Stick to Outback Riches.

My Verdict on the Golden Star 85 Free Spins Exclusive AU

I’ll give it a reluctant thumbs up. It’s not perfect. The mobile issue is annoying. The 72-hour window is short. But the exclusive game has good RTP, and the wagering is reasonable. For a free spins offer, that’s rare.

If you’re an Aussie player who likes pokies and wants to try something new, this is a solid option. Just don’t expect to get rich. Set a budget. Gamble responsibly. 18+.

I’ve already moved on to video poker at another site. But I’ll keep an eye on Golden Star. If they release more exclusive games with high RTP, I might come back. For now, this offer is worth a spin or 85.
